Wall Repair

Cracks in your basement walls? Walls leaning or bowing inward? These are common signs of foundation issues, and they won’t fix themselves.

In our Washington service area, we often see wall damage caused by two main problems:

  • Foundation settlement – when the soil beneath your home shifts or sinks.
  • Hydrostatic pressure – when water builds up around your foundation and pushes inward.

If left untreated, these issues can lead to serious structural damage, including complete wall failure.

Our Wall Repair Solutions

We offer several proven methods to stabilize and restore foundation walls, depending on the severity of the damage.

Plate Anchors

Best for: Bowing basement walls caused by exterior pressure

When too much pressure builds up behind a basement wall, it can start to bend inward. Plate anchors help stop that movement — and over time, they can even pull the wall back toward its original position.

How it works:

  • A steel anchor plate is installed in the soil outside your foundation.
  • A second plate is secured to the inside of your basement wall.
  • A steel rod connects the two and applies gentle tension to stabilize and straighten the wall.

This solution is ideal for walls that are still structurally sound but starting to show signs of pressure damage.

Helical Tiebacks

Best for: Severely leaning or unstable basement and retaining walls

Helical tiebacks are large steel anchors with spiral blades that are drilled into stable soil from inside the wall. Acting like giant screws, they pull the wall back into place and hold it there permanently.

Common uses:

  • Basement walls
  • Retaining walls
  • Temporary wall stabilization during construction

This is a strong, long-lasting solution for significant wall movement.

Crack Injection & Carbon Fiber Straps

Best for: Cracked walls or minor movement

For smaller wall issues, we use a two-part repair approach:

  • Crack injection: We clean the area and fill the crack with a high-strength expanding material that seals and strengthens the wall.
  • Carbon fiber straps: Flexible, ultra-strong straps are bonded over the crack with epoxy to prevent further movement.

Carbon fiber is lightweight, durable, and nearly invisible once installed — making it a great option when excavation or anchors aren’t necessary.
